I was married to my husband for 11 years when he told me that he was trans. November 2014, a windy cold Monday night. And there it was. After 14 years together. The truth about my husband. The new truth that was diametrically opposed from what went before.
Let me set the scene. We live in suburbia. We have young kids, a lovable dog and a range of pets with limited life expectancies. We work hard and have the same money troubles as everyone else. We are a big part of our community and have amazing friends. My husband is an only child whose parents have passed away. I have a crazy and large family who love him like a brother.
